The Scenario

Our final stop on our beer tour of the Malden/Everett area, Idle Hands was relatively less busy than the other two stops. This was probably because at this point, it was approaching dinner time. Set on having beer for dinner we were pleased to easily head to the bar and order a drink promptly. Idle Hands consists of a long bar running the length of the small space, flanked by 8 or so long communal tables. After getting our drinks we politely asked some guests if they would move down the table so that our group could sit. Grudgingly, they complied, but not without some attitude. The long communal tables were a great part of this spot due to the ample amount of seating, and with a big group, you could easily converse with and hear each other.

The Ratings

Wooooo!
K: 4/5 - A strong brew with banana notes, pretty delicious.

Patriarch (Abbey Style Table Beer)
D: 2.5/5 - It was okay, nothing too special. It could've been the amount of beers I had during the day but I couldn't even finish my sample glass.

Final Thoughts

D: 3/5 - It was okay. The smell when we walked in certainly wasn't great. It wasn't anything too memorable but a good spot that I'd visit again if in the area.

K: 3.5/5 - Was Idle Hands anything special? Not really. That being said, it had a really  nice vibe, the beer I had was great, and it ended the night on a high note. I would definitely return if in the area.
