The Scenario

As is often the case, we missed the turn-in for this brewery. Although the building is easy to identify with a huge Shebeen logo on the side, coming from the wrong side, we blew it. Approaching the brewery, you pass a bathroom design shop. Our question was, how many patrons get lit and buy a new bathtub? Could be a thing. Walking in there is a "bar" to your right where you an order a pint or a flight. There was a large selection of beer we could choose from but Deanna came strictly for the Canolli Beer. Ordering a pint of the canolli and a flight of beer that was hard to choose from, we entered the next room which was full of benches large tables. A ton of Irish decor was strewn about the tasting room, from Irish poems to the Irish flag. What was a really great touch was the overhead lights consisted of a green, white, and orange bulb creating the flag in lightbulbs. On a Saturday afternoon it wasn't too busy but there were definitely a few groups of patrons ordering flights and pints.

The Ratings

Cherry Cordial Cannoli

K: 3.5/5 - Slight hint of cherry, mostly the chocolate and powdered sugar taste though.

Cannoli

D: 4/5 - I went hard and ordered a pint of this signature beer. It's a delightful beer with a fun cannoli flavor complete with powdered sugar and chocolate shavings on the rim.
K: 4/5 - Delicious!

Toasted Coconut

K: 3/5 - Barely taste the coconut but a pretty good beer

Sour Thing #3

K: 3/5 - Interesting tasting sour. Tasting grapes, almost a wine flavor.

Prost German Lager

K: 2/5 - Not great.

Final Thoughts

D: 4/5 - Cool spot with some really unique brews. I've been wanting to try their cannoli beer for quite a while and it didn't disappoint. However, through this tasting I learned that Kyle has never had actual cannoli. Devastating. This is change soon. I could see us coming back here for sure.

K: 4.5/5 - Shebeen is definitely a great spot. The fact that they really try to push the limits on beer flavors is awesome. I can appreciate the wide variety of available brews as it was a tough choice to pick ones for my flight. I enjoyed almost all of them and their signature cannoli beer is a fun treat. I would absolutely come back in the area, not only to try their beers but to get a 4-pack of cannoli beer to-go
