History: Blasted Barley states that they have over 30 craft beers on tap including some of their own. They brew their beer with laughter and love and like to get crazy and fool around.

The Scenario 

DISCLAIMER: We honestly were unsure whether to count this as a brewery or not. We had to seriously question what we define as a brewery. Our decision was to count it only because they advertise themselves as a brewery.

 Walking into Blasted Barley we had high hopes. It was a nice day and we got a great parking spot at a nearby parking garage. Being a self-proclaimed "Patriots bar," Kyle was at home. Upon walking into the establishment it took us a long while to get menus. We even saw a few other parties sit down and leave due to the terrible service. It was extremely dead as well so I am not sure what the excuse for this was. When we finally got the menu we noticed that there were NO BEERS brewed in house. When the bartender came back we immediately asked about their beer and she said they didn't have any. Feeling obligated we ordered a local beer and a margarita. It was at this moment that we saw a bartender sucking liquid out of Capri Sun bags and refilling them with another liquid. One of our many expertise is eavesdropping and we found out that they offer "Capri Sun and Vodka" cocktails to the bar crowd at night for $6. Feeling horrified we quickly finished our drinks and left.

Final Thoughts

D: 0/5 - Nope. The service wasn't even good. A couple came in and sat near us and after 10-15 mins of waiting to be acknowledged as patrons, they slowly got up and started to walk out. I made eye contact with them and told them they weren't making a bad choice. My margarita was terrible.

K: 0/5 - I mean maybe the food is good, mabye the bar is fun at night, but to call yourself a brewery and not have your own beer is a disqualifier in my book. Sorry to say but one of the most disappointing places we've ever been.

Fairfield Craft Ales

The Stats  Location:  Stratford, C T History: Fairfield Craft Ales opened in early July 2016 with a little help from the crowd-funding site, KickStarter. Mike and Joe have more than 25 years of brewing experience and have always been music lovers. So, it just makes sense that their dream was to open a brewery that serves beer inspired by music.  Food Service: No, they only have some chips and soda. This brewery is a stark contrast from its neighbor, Two Roads, just 3 minutes down the road. The small taproom gives this brewery a home-y feel. The first time we visited, we were greeted similarly to the locals on Cheers . We felt welcomed immediately and this time was no different. Although, FCA and Two Roads are very different structurally, they do have one thing in common: they brew good beer.

The Stats  Location:  Scot tsdale, AZ History: Goldwater Brewing Co. is a family owned and opera ted venture with over 30+ years of brewing experience. Pushing the limits of b eer making, Goldwater boasts over 14 beers to choose from . Goldwater opened less than 3 years ago and has two tasting rooms. A main tasting room and a basement tasting room reserved for cask ales only open on Satur days. There were spaces at the bar that were open but it was crowded for the s mall space.
